Joint Declaration for Palestine – Filistin için Ortak Beyanname

WE, AS THE CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE THE DEFENDERS OF JUSTICE, PEACE, HUMAN RIGHTS AND FREEDOM, SIGNED BELOW;

In the preamble of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,

The recognition of the dignity and the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice, and world peace.

The failure to recognize and the contempt for human rights have led to brutalities that should cause the human conscience to rebel.

Located in the preamble of the Rome Statute,

Bearing in mind that, throughout this century, millions of children, women, and men have fallen victim to unimaginable evils that have profoundly impacted the conscience of humanity,

Recognizing that such grave crimes pose a direct threat to the peace, security, and well-being of the world,

Determined to end impunity for those responsible for these crimes, and to prevent their recurrence,

Reaffirming the necessity for all states to refrain from using force, threats, or interfering with the territorial integrity and political independence of any nation,

Committed to saving future generations from the scourge of war, which has caused untold suffering to humanity twice in our lifetime.

To reaffirm our belief in fundamental human rights, and in the dignity and worth of every human being,

We have prepared this declaration in full acceptance of these principles.

As a result of the genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and crimes of aggression committed by the Israeli occupying administration for nearly a century, and escalating after October 7, 2024, 43,992 Palestinian civilians have been killed, including 17,215 children and 11,742 women, with 103,898 people injured. We reject and condemn these attacks on international law and fundamental human rights.
